A new SUVA Board of Directors was elected at our Annual General Meeting dated December, 2016 for a period a three (3) years. The Board is a mixture of members with long term SUVA experience and represents the small and big accounting firms in Suriname. As the focus of this board is to implement the Strategic plan which was developed within the grant provided by the World Bank, the board also recognizes that it will be impossible to achieve the goals set out in the Strategic plan in the coming three (3) years.
This is why the focus will be on the following areas:
- Capacity building of SUVA
- Institutionalizing SUVA
- Rules and regulations
- (Law on Annual Accounts and Law on the Account Profession)
